Queensborough Community College’s Office of Continuing Education & Workforce Development will be offering free AWS Training Workshops where you can learn the basics in cloud computing, enhance your technical skills and train for sought after certifications in the field today!
We will be offering two courses this Spring:
AWS Developer Associate Certification + AWS Big Data + Machine Learning Specializations
Tuesdays & Thursdays, March 16 - May 4: 1-4 pm + Independent Work
AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate Certification
Tuesdays & Thursdays, May 11 - June 29: 1-4 pm + Independent Work
We are planning to have an orientation on Wednesday, March 3rd from 12 noon-1 pm and Wednesday, March 10th from 12 noon to 1 pm via Zoom. When you apply for the course, you will be sent the information to join this orientation online.
* Eligible students can earn a $75 voucher toward the AWS exam fee.
Eligibility:
- Interest in pursuing a career in Systems Administration, Cloud/Cybersecurity
- 1+ year IT work experience or equivalent IT focused coursework strongly preferred
- Candidates with CompTIA and/or Cisco certifications encouraged to apply
- U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
- Women, youth and U.S. Veterans strongly encouraged to apply
- Unemployed or underemployed
Preferred Computer Requirements:
- PC or Mac 8GB RAM
- Intel i3 Processor 100 GB Hard Drive
- High Speed Internet (Cable/FIOS)
