Reproductive Justice and Gender-Based Violence in NYC After Roe

Panel Discussion: Reproductive Justice and Gender-Based Violence in NYC After Roe

As part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, this event will illustrate how policies denying people autonomy over their bodies, including restrictions on reproductive healthcare and gender-affirming care, amount to gender-based violence. The discussion will cover how the spread of such policies across the country in recent months, including the overturning of Roe, contribute to a culture that normalizes the coercion and control of certain bodies.

Organized by NYC Commission on Gender Equity. Contact smilner@cityhall.nyc.gov or visit the NYC Commission on Gender Equity website for more info.
