Public Health Intern position P/T & F/T

Under the supervision of the Director of Youth Services, the Public Health intern will support the Covid Response Team and Youth Department. Duties include but are not limited to:

Manage and distribute new developments regarding Covid-19 including data, organization compliance, vaccine updates, and trends

  • Participate in weekly Covid Response Team meeting
  • Coordination of the Community Education and Mask Distribution program
  • Create social media campaigns highlighting public health issues for young adults and families
  • Assist youth in community mapping to identify public health issues within the community

 Requirements

  • Public Health major
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well in teams
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Work with organizational partners to elicit, articulate, and document requirements that capture organization needs.
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Self-starter, analytical thinker with initiative who can manage multiple tasks and adapt and respond quickly to a fast-paced environment

  • Pursuing a degree in Public Health, or related field
