Digital Art & Design Intern position-F/T & P/T

Role:

Support the team in editing and maintaining digital communications and publication materials for the organization. 

• Design marketing materials such as landing pages, micro sites, company blog, emails and newsletters
• Design graphic content and create engaging captions for use across channels
• Critique and QA on existing design and future design
• Re-touch, crop and upload product photography images
• Retouch digital photographic images
• Crop digital photographic images/maintain file size specification guidelines
• Ensure color consistency between image assets
• Create flyers, postcards and distributable media for the organization
• Upload assets to web servers in accordance to calendars
• Strong color correction skills, matching images from different cameras
• Perform quality assurance on all images
• Suggest ways and to constantly improve the service of the team
• Be proactive and able to show initiative/ideas to constantly improve
• Knowledge of image formatting for variety of printings, large scale printing, web, etc.
• Any other ad hoc duties within art department/editorial when required
• Assist with flyers

Requirements

• Strong understanding of image constraints
• Proven ability to work efficiently and producing a high turnover of images in stringent deadlines with extreme pressure and change
• Proactive and able to take initiative
• Excellent eye for detail
• Flexible; ability to adapt to changing priorities and multiple tasks
• High technical proficiency in Macintosh OS and Photoshop Strong retouching skills
• Proven experience retouching product photography and creative editorial images
• Previous experience with a digital art
• Strong understanding of color correction
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Work with organizational partners to elicit, articulate, and document requirements that capture organization needs.
• Identify, understand, and manage obstacles to achieving business results to ensure mitigation activities are taking place
• Participate in the discussion and decisions regarding project methodology, processes and technology solutions
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes and apply knowledge cross functionally
• Self-starter, analytical thinker with initiative who can manage multiple tasks and adapt and respond quickly to a fast-paced environment
