Putting Safety First
Campus Access Reminder
November 17, 2020
Dear colleagues,
As we continue to deal with the uncertainty of COVID-19, it is important to keep the well-being of all members of our campus community foregrounded.
Members of our campus community who have a critical need to visit campus must complete the following three steps:
- Complete the NYS COVID-19 Response - Return to Work Training, which is housed in Blackboard. This has to be completed one-time prior to any access to the campus.
- Please plan your visit by completing the Campus Access Request Form. Select the Divisional Vice President for your Department (Provost Lynch for all academic departments) and the time you wish to be on campus. It is requested that visits be scheduled on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm. This should be done at least 24 hours before the planned visit to allow time for review and approvals.
- Once you are have an approved Campus Access Request, you are required to complete a Health Screening before entering campus. This heath screening must be done on the day of your visit, preferably within one hour before coming to campus Please do not come to campus if you do not feel well. CUNY has selected the Everbridge Safety Connection Pro/Contact Tracing mobile app. The application is expressly focused on higher education and is designed to create confidence for students, faculty, staff when visiting CUNY colleges and offices. The quick survey involves five short questions and is accessible through Everbridge's health screening app. Please use this Instructional Guide for accessing and using the app. Authorized visitors should use the Visitors' Guide for instructions. Based on the answers provided, users will receive confirmation on their phone or email that clears them to enter the college or office. Those not cleared to enter will be given additional guidance on what they should do next. Please also review these FAQs for answers to questions.
Following the completion of the Health Screening, visitors will be required to check into the lobby of the Administration Building where Public Safety will verify the Campus Access and Health Screening approvals.
As always, questions can be submitted to COVID19Coordinator@qcc.cuny.edu.
We remain committed to ensuring the health and safety of every member of our campus community, and we thank you for your cooperation during these unprecedented times.
Be safe,
William V. Faulkner
