Business:

The meeting was called to order at 11 a.m.

  1. Discussion among Committee Members

    1. Previous minutes were approved unanimously

    2. Review of procedure for evaluating applications. Focus on cleaning up a transcript and CCS referrals

    3. Clarification on degree audit procedures

    4. Discussion about changing the name of the committee. We felt the current name is misleading. The committee has already been called the Readmission & The Dismissal Committee by other faculty members. After a few suggestions, we determined that The Readmissions committee was more appropriate.

    5. Discussed about the proposed GPA calculator document and noticed that this group was by far the highest number of applicants with above a 2.0 without cleaning up we have seen.

  2. Appeals for Reinstatement

The members of the committee reviewed:

    16 – Degree Student Records

0 - Non degree student records

  3. Decision

13 -Students were approved for readmission

    2 – Students denied readmission

1 – Students were deemed pending for additional information

Respectfully submitted,

Carmen Reid, Department of Nursing
Committee on Admissions, Secretary
