Message from the Office of Academic Affairs
The Office of Academic Affairs supports the mission of Queensborough Community College through its dedication to academic excellence and rigor. The Office is responsible for academic programs and faculty. The College boasts 10 dual/joint programs, 18 transfer degree programs, 14 career programs, and five certificate programs. There are over four hundred full-time faculty members, and they hold degrees from prominent institutions of higher education. Eighty percent of full-time faculty hold either doctoral degrees or equivalencies. They are experts in their fields, are adept at fostering critical thinking skills across disciplines, driving creative curricular development, assessing academic programs, and engaging students in the classroom. Because of the expertise of our faculty, the academic environment at QCC is vibrant and actively engaged in supporting students as they work to master the information they receive both in and outside the classroom, advance their knowledge and form an appreciation for lifelong learning.
