NYCHA-CUNY Resident Scholarship Program

NYCHA offers multiple scholarships. All scholarships award a one-time $,1000 grant to eligible residents who are pursuing undergraduate degrees at CUNY.


Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must:

1. Be an authorized NYCHA public housing resident or NYCHA Section 8 recipient.

2. Be an enrolled graduate or undergraduate CUNY student, full-time at any CUNY community or senior college.

3. Have a minimum of 24 credits in an associate or baccalaureate degree program.

4. Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Application Materials/Process:

1. All applications must be submitted online on the NYCHA self-service portal at https://selfserve.nycha.info and select NYCHA-CUNY Scholarship on the left-hand navigation pane.

2. Students must submit a 750-word essay.
