More than 12,405 students are enrolled in Associate degree or certificate programs and another 10,000 students attend continuing education programs at Queensborough Community College.
Queensborough prepares students for an exciting new career or for transfer to a four-year program. In fact, more than half of Queensborough students transfer to a four-year CUNY institution after earning their Associate degrees.
Queensborough offers a wide variety of resources where students may enrich their academic experience and connect with their fellow students: clubs, activities, athletics, service learning, student government, veterans services, and much more.
Queensborough is a reflection of New York: creative, exciting, and culturally diverse. There are 141 countries represented in our student body and over 80 languages spoken. Our 50+ clubs and organizations serve as outlets to develop and explore your talents and interests. Get active in Badminton Club, track stocks in the Finance Club or work with technology in the Robotics Club.
Within your Queensborough Academy, you will have the opportunity to connect in-class learning with real world experience by participating in meaningful research. Queensborough is one of the few community colleges to have an undergraduate research program, encouraging you to work closely with professors and present your findings at national conferences.
As a Queensborough Tiger, pride is more than a priority: it's in your veins. We field men's and women's varsity teams, ten of which have won a City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) championship in the last few years. Show your true Tiger Colors in the stands or on the court - either way, the excitement is contagious!
Queensborough promotes an environment that is inclusive and supportive of student diversity in the areas of sexual orientation and sexual identity/expression, as well as, promoting awareness and respect of this at the college and beyond.
The CUNY LGBTQI+ Online Resource Hub gives students and faculty a direct portal through which they can navigate to learn more about support, events, resources, and opportunities for the LGBTQIA+ community on all the CUNY campuses.
I am thankful for Queensborough because of the great resources they provide for students. The various programs, such as College Discovery, provide the blueprint and confidence for students to succeed throughout their college career.
