Approximately four scholarships will be distributed.


Eligibility Criteria:

All of the following rules are applicable:

  • Applicants must be in the second, third or final year of obtaining their undergraduate college degree (freshman are excluded) or pursuing a graduate degree.

  • Applicants must be residents of Queensbridge or Ravenswood houses.

  • Applicants must be enrolled in the upcoming school semester with a minimum of twelve (12) college credits.  Exceptions will be made for applicants that need less than twelve (12) credits to complete their degree and for graduate students.

  • Applicants must complete the application in its entirety and are required to answer the essay question.

Application Materials/Process:

  1. Email completed application, with supporting documentation, to: qbsfrobertcummingsaward@gmail.com.

  2. A contact telephone number is mandatory for all applicants.

  3. Winners will be notified.

  4. The Queensbridge Scholarship committee will not be responsible for late or ineligible applications that cannot be evaluated.

  5. Any applicant that submits fraudulent information will automatically be disqualified. Award disbursements can be rescinded at any time prior to payment if the committee determines that fraudulent information was submitted. All information will be verified.

  6. All applicants are REQUIRED to include supporting documentation as part of the submission process. This includes up-to-date transcripts as well as proof of enrollment.
