Eligibility Criteria:

Students receive an invitation to join the Transfer Scholars Network from senior leaders at their community college based on eligibility criteria that include:

  • Demonstrated academic achievement (including participation in Honors courses)
  • Transfer readiness (intent to transfer to a four-year college or university in upcoming semester
  • Financial need (an adjusted gross income not exceeding $100,000)
  • Diverse experiences (professionaol, personal, academic, and/or service-related accomplishments)
  • Postsecondary status (first-time enrollment at a four-year college or university)

Note: Your nomination letter will include details on how to submit an application to join the Transfaer Scholars Network.

Application Materials/Process:

Once you are nominated, you will complete a simple, 30-minute application. In the application, you will be asked to share details about your academic qualifications, your experience with the transfer process so far, and any other leadership, service, extracurricular, and personal experiences that may be relevant.

Note: you can select as many TSN four-year partners that interest you. Before you select schools, be sure to read through the partner profiles or watch their videos.

After you apply to the Transfer Scholars Network, admissions representatives from the four-year partners you indicated an interest in will reach out. You can ask them any questions you have about transfer admissions, financial aid, and the transfer student experience at their school. They are there to provide you with guidance as you navigate the application process!

As part of this initiative, Transfer Scholars:

  • Receive personal connections with, and ongoing support from, admissions leaders at highly selective colleges and universities in the United States.
  • Are eligible for generous financial aid and scholarship if admitted to any of these institutions.
  • Also eligible to apply for highly selective scholarship programs like the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship.
  • Stand out in your transfer application by mentioning your participation in the Transfer Scholars Network.
