Teaching Introduction to the Art of Dance, Repertory, Dance Workshop, Modern Dance and Ballet, Nicole Y. McClam received her MFA in Dance at the University of Maryland while also pursuing her studies in the Laban Certification Program to become a Certified Movement Analyst. 

She enjoys exploring the awesomeness of dance with her students and has taught at Howard Community College, American University, University of Maryland in Baltimore County, Texas Tech University, and the State University of New York at Potsdam. A Washington, DC native, she was a long-time member of Dance Place resident company, Deborah Riley Dance Projects. She continues to bounce to and fro as a founding member of B3W Performance Group based in Queens, NY. Her work, described as, “beautifully moving through internal and external cycles of imitation, instruction, revolt, struggle, instability, and support,” has been presented in Washington, DC, Baltimore, MD, Brooklyn, NY, Lubbock, TX, Potsdam, NY. McCLam received a CUNY Black Race and Ethnic Studies Initiative grant in 2022/23 to develop a multi campus CUNY BA degree in Dance from the African Diaspora.
