Teaching philosophy:

My intent in my writing classrooms is to create an open, warm, engaging community of writers. My focus is on providing a wide range of challenging writing experiences in multiple discursive forms so that student writers become more confident, proficient, and practiced in a variety of forms from academic writing to creative writing.

Research Interests:

I am currently working on a novel.
