Business:

The meeting was called to order at 2:10PM

  1. Attendance
  2. Minutes from February meeting were approved without changes.
  3. Plagiarism / AI  Workshop/Faculty Forum-
no update on workshop to be set up by Pullin- absent; Akpinar will follow-up.
Dennihy has 8 faculty from English interested in AI workshop; Klein (acad affairs- absent) agreed to present that department’s perspective; Kolack from Chem agreed to present STEM perspective; Byfield said interested nursing faculty wanted to know date/time first. Dennihy is conferring with Meg in CETL to find date- possibly 4/19 or 4/26 (latter conflicts with PSC general membership mtg)
  4. Faculty survey will be sent out ~3/14 after the COACHE survey closes and will be open until the end of the month. Members of the Committee should take it NOW, and promote it to their departments later. (Akpinar will send an email template.)
  5. Survey on Student Evaluation Form for the Students
Approved by Steering Committee without being brought to the full Senate.
Goal to improve student response to faculty evaluation forms.
Extensively reviewed/refined by the Committee. Give any additional feedback THIS WEEK, as Akpinar will send to Fichera on Friday to be sent to students at the end of March.
  6. Old business- none
  7. New business- none
Meeting adjourned 2:55PM.

Respectfully submitted,

Kevin Kolack
