The Academic Senate Committee on Academic Development/Elective Academic Programs met on March 18, 2021 at 1:00 pm Virtual - Zoom


Committee Members in Attendance:

Rezan Akpinar (Chair), Renee Rhodd (Co-Chair), Crystal Moscat (Secretary), Joanne Chang, Susan Riekert, David Pham, Rondi Davies, Melissa Dennihy, Rex Taibu, Randelle Sasa (E-learning Committee chair)

Business:

The meeting was called to order at 1:00 pm

         1. Review and approve Committee Meeting Minutes from 2/18/21
  1.  The Committee on Academic Development reviewed:

    1. Survey Questions:
    • Added “useful/not useful” option on survey
    • ADC committee will send survey to Victor to add the additional questions
    • Add open ended question for faculty to add their own thoughts and identify questions they want to see on survey
    • Survey was available March 22nd-March 29th
    • Survey should be reviewed by faculty senate at the end of April
    1. Discuss our workshop series:
    • Would like to record all events and upload recordings on the QCC webpage under Campus Events for faculty to access on a later date
    • For each event there should be a backup faculty member available
    • Should prepare a sign in sheet for each event
    • A member from ADC committee can be moderator for the event to introduce the presenters and check the chat box for questions
    1. Name change proposal. To be discussed during next meeting

Meeting was adjourned 2:00 pm.
