The Academic Senate Committee on Academic Development/Elective Academic Programs met on September 16, 2020 at 12:00 pm Virtual - Webex


Committee Members in Attendance:

Business:

The meeting was called to order at 12:00 pm

The meeting began at 12pm.  The Committee discussed/reviewed the following:

 

  1. Meeting minutes approved for May 13th, 2020 meeting.
  2. Faculty having concerns about engaging students in distant learning environment. Would like to do extensive training workshop for Faculty to help students with distant learning. Possible OTE volunteer for workshop.
  3. Rezan Akpinar will designate each member of committee with questions from the survey for review and comments.
  4. Would like to preview and update PNET/FNET student evaluations before students have access to it. Waiting on CUNY central to approve previous updates to PNET/FNET evaluations. Dr. Pullin will contact Academic Affairs to get confirmation about evaluations.
  5. Committee members should review Annual Reports and provide some feedback.
  6. Sub-Committees:
  • Identifying and Advertising events- Rezan Akpinar, Renee Rhodd, Rex Taibu & Melissa Dennihy.
  • Name change/Logo for ADC committee- Rezan Akpinar, Susan Riekert, David  Pham & Rex Taibu
  • Survey Evaluation – Rezan Akpinar, David Pham, Rex Taibu, Susan  Riekert & Rondi Davies
  • Elective Programs- TBD. Rezan Akpinar will email to ask for some more clarification on elective programs/ classes
