The Meeting was called in order at 3:00 PM

● Laura spoke about the upcoming Fall 23 events at the KHC

● The committee members brainstormed ideas on how to increase attendance at events at the three cultural centers, promote our events to reach faculty, collaborate with faculty through programs, and incorporate the cultural center’s programs into the classroom.

● We agreed to advertise programs to the faculty in each of our departments when announcements of programs are sent out. We will distribute emails to colleagues about upcoming events at the centers.

● Franca will email the Steering Committee and ask for permission to speak at the November Senate meeting for 5-10 minutes about the importance for faculty to collaborate with the three cultural centers.

● The directors of the three cultural centers will directly collaborate with faculty helping them to include events offered at the centers in their courses.

● Aviva suggested a virtual brown bag, where faculty members, who collaborated with the three cultural centers in the past, will inform faculty on how to integrate the cultural center’s resources in their courses.

● Franca will organize the virtual brown bag that will take place on November 30th, 2023 during club hours. Franca will contact faculty members who previously collaborated with the cultural centers to find possible speakers for the event.
