  2. Faulty teaching for CE guidelines (Per HR and Contract):

  • Untenured Assistant Professors cannot teach overloads and multiple positions in CUNY, including CE.  (The Multiple Position guidelines allow for an overload in extreme emergency in credit bearing courses with justification and approval from the President and CUNY.  This has been a very rare occurrence at QCC.) 

  • Untenured Assistant Professors may teach for CE in the summer as long as they stay within their compensation limits.

  • Full-time Lecturers can teach in CE as a multiple position.

  • Tenured Assistant Professors, Associate Professors and Professors can teach overloads and have Multiple Positions in CE during Fall and Spring semesters.  They need to read the Multiple Position Guidelines and be aware of the limitations.

  • Untenured Assistant Professors may teach for CE in the summer as long as they stay within their compensation limits.

  • CLTs may teach for CE any semester within Multiple Position guidelines.  Many work Mon through Fri, 9-5 so they need to be careful not to conflict with their full-time schedule.

  1. Request from the Nursing Dept. -  Add a CNA (Certified Nursing Aid) Certification Course
