Monthly Report of the Committee on Committees for April, 2021

Senate Elections

As stated in our March report, due the COVID-19 pandemic, our typical election procedures had to be modified this year. Nominating petitions were distributed to faculty, CLT's, HEO's and adjunct faculty electronically through email and supporting nomination signatures were compiled on a Google database. The Faculty-at-Large seats, CLT Representative and Adjunct Faculty Representative elections were completed and reported in March except for the HEO results.

The March CoC Senate report, stated that the two Senate HEO Representative Seats were pending. That election process has now been compiled and completed.

Article I, Section 2, Paragraph 2 of the Bylaws of the Academic Senate provides;

Two (2) representatives from the Higher Education Officer series (HEOs) shall be elected by the full-time HEOs to serve with vote. The election of the two (2) HEO members-at-large to the Academic Senate shall be conducted by the Committee on Committees.

HEO's were able to access the polls remotely. The online system was managed by David Moretti (Senate Technology Officer) with assistance from Raj Vaswani (Information Technology). The results of the Senate election for the HEO Representative seat are tabulated below.

The results of that election are as follows;
