  1. Standing Committees of the Academic Senate
  2. Elections (2022-2025 term)

In accordance with the Bylaws, the ballots prepared by the CoC were distributed via email on April 4th to CLTs, faculty, and HEOs. At the April 12 Academic Senate meeting, an electronic version of the ballots was displayed to all voting members of the Senate. The members of the Standing Committees for 2022-2025 were unanimously elected as a single slate.  There was an insufficient number of candidates for the available number of seats.  An additional email was sent to the instructional staff asking for individuals to volunteer.  The CoC will also make suggestions to the Steering Committee regarding suitable Steering Committee Designees. The rosters for the Standing Committees follow. An email has been sent to the present chair of each committee informing them of the new members of the committee.  The chairs have been asked to ensure that they update the corresponding committee webpages by the end of the spring semester.

Committee Rosters for 2022-2025. All terms are for three years, except those marked by *.

The terms of three members of the CoC will expire in May: Julia Rothenberg, Clara Wajngurt, and Vicki Terrile. One member of the committee has resigned, Ian Schanning and will also be replaced.  At the May meeting of the Academic Senate, nominations for new members will be presented, followed by a vote. The individual nominated to replace Ian Schanning will serve the remainder of the term.  The CoC, Steering Committee, and Department Chairs have all been asked to suggest nominees.

  1. Upcoming business
  2. The CoC database must be updated with the newly elected committee members.
  3. The CoC guidebook needs to be updated to reflect the new operational modality for the nomination and election of Senators to the Academic Senate.
  4. The CoC requires the utilization of a new and more updated database. The committee will explore the potential for use of another database.
  5. The CoC will work on more outreach to faculty during the Fall term in consultation with the Steering Committee to increase instructional staff interest in serving on committees. A program and outline of recruitment for committee service will be developed.

Respectfully submitted,

Christine Mooney,
