The Academic Senate Committee on CURRICULUM COMMITTEE met on January 30, 2024 at 2:10 pm via Zoom


Committee Members in Attendance:

R. Apkinar, B. Flaherty, G. Fragopoulos, T. Hemraj-Benny, I. Lizzul (Chair), K. Mason, V. Shekoyan (Secretary), N. Sullivan

Absent: D. Fox-Herron, M. Pullin (Academic Affairs), C. Vasquez (Student Representative)


Business:

The meeting was called to order at 2:10 PM

1. The minutes of the November 28, 2023 meeting were approved by the committee.

 

2. The committee discussed the following course revisions proposed by the Department of Communication, Theatre, & Media Production:

 

    Course revision: FMP - 242 / Writing for the Screen

    Course revision: FMP- 245 / Intro to Electronic Media       

    Course revision: FMP- 246 / Media Criticism

 

The course revision was considered by all present, and it passed unanimously.

 

3. The committee discussed the following items proposed by the Department of Art & Design:

 

    New course: ARTS 392 Introduction to 3D Animation

    Program revision: Digital Art & Design

    Course revision: ARTS 192 / Digital Animation

    Course revision: ARTS 243 / Digital Photography

    Course revision: ARTS 293 / Motion Graphics

 

The items were considered by all present, and it passed unanimously.
