The Academic Senate Committee on Curriculum met on March 22, 2022 at 2:10 pm in S-322 and online via Blackboard Collaborate

Business:

The meeting was called to order at 2:10 PM

  1. The minutes of the March 15, 2022 meeting were approved by the committee. 

  2. The committee welcomed Dr. José Osorio, Chair, Dr. Jose Madrigal, Dr. Laura Sabani, Dr. Melida Sanchez, and Dr. Carolina Chavas of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures to discuss the proposed program revision of the Liberal Arts and Sciences – Associate in Arts (A.A.) Degree. After discussing the proposal, the committee voted, and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present.

  3. The committee welcomed Dr. Naydu Carmona, Dr. Sharon Ellerton, Dr. Areti Tsimounis and of the Department of Biological Sciences and Geology to discuss the proposed program revision of the A.S. in Health Sciences. After discussing the proposal, the committee voted, and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present.

  4. The committee discussed the proposed course deletion of CH-115: “Introduction to Nanoscience” from the Chemistry Department. After discussing the proposal, the committee voted, and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present.

  5. The committee welcomed Dr. David Lieberman, Chair of the Physics Department to discuss the course revision of PH-440: “Modern Physics and Quantum Mechanics for Engineers.” After discussing the proposal, the committee voted, and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present.

     

    The meeting was adjourned at 3:10 PM.
