The Academic Senate Committee on Curriculum met on April 6, 2021 at 2:00 pm online via Blackboard Collaborate

Business:

The meeting was called to order at 2:00 PM

  1. The minutes of the March 23, 2021 meeting were approved by the committee.

  2. Hamid Namdar, Chair, and Belle Birchfield of the Engineering Technology Department: discussed new course proposals with the committee.

  3. The committee discussed the following new courses from the Engineering Technology Department:

    ET-726 Advanced Network Security
    ET-754 Security Policies and Procedures
    ET-760 Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing

    After discussing the proposal, the committee voted, and the proposals were approved unanimously by those present. 

  4. The committee discussed the creation of Subcommittee of Committee on Curriculum on Computer Courses and Programs. A proposal was made and seconded to create the subcommittee. After discussing the proposal, the committee voted, and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present.

    The meeting was adjourned at 3:40 PM.
