The Academic Senate Committee on CURRICULUM COMMITTEE met on May 7, 2019 at 2:10 pm in H-239


Committee Members in Attendance:

T. Holden (Chair), I. Lizzul, J. Murley, J. Nichols, J. Petersen, H. Tirandai, E. Volchok, P. Wallach (Secretary), R. Yuster

M. Franco (Chair, Mathematics & Computer Science)


Business:

The meeting was called to order at 2:10 PM

  1. The minutes of the April 30, 2019 meeting were approved by the committee. 
  1. Mercedes Franco, Chair of the Department of Mathematics & Computer Science, presented the experimental new course MA-335 for the department. 
  1. The committee considered the experimental new course MA-335: “Statistics with Basic Algebra.” After discussing the proposal, the committee voted and the proposal was approved by those present. 
  1. The committee conducted elections for the next academic year. T. Holden was elected as the Chair of the Committee and Dr. P. Wallach was elected as the Secretary of the Committee for the academic year 2019-2020. 

The meeting was adjourned at 3:00 PM.
