The Academic Senate Committee on CURRICULUM COMMITTEE met on October 2, 2018 at 2:10 pm in H-230


Committee Members in Attendance:

Business:

The meeting was called to order at 2:10 PM

  1. The minutes of the September 25, 2018 meeting were approved by the committee. 
  1. The committee considered the proposed course revisions from the Department of Engineering Technology:
    ET-232 Wireless Mobile Communications
    ET-506 Introduction to UNIX (LINUX)
    ET-580 Object Oriented Programming

    After discussing the proposals, the committee voted and the proposals were approved unanimously by those present. 
  1. The committee considered the proposed course revisions from the Department of Engineering Technology:
    ARCH-111 Architectural Design I
    ARCH-113 Building Technology I
    ARCH-121 Architectural Design II
    ARCH-123 Building Technology II
    ARCH-125 Surveying and Site Planning
    ARCH-129 Visualization II
    ARCH-231 Architectural Design III
    ARCH-237 Environmental Systems
    ARCH-248 Structures I

    After discussing the proposals, the committee voted and the proposal were approved unanimously by those present. 
  1. The committee considered the proposed program revision of the Digital Art and Design Program. After discussing the proposal, the committee voted and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present. 
  1. The committee considered the proposed course revision of the experimental course BE-102: “Developing Competence in College Reading, Writing, and Study Skills.” After discussing the proposal, the committee voted and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present. 
The meeting was adjourned at 3:30 PM.
