The Academic Senate Committee on CURRICULUM COMMITTEE met on November 27, 2018 at 2:10 pm in H-230

Business:

The meeting was called to order at 2:10 PM

  1. The minutes of the November 20, 2018 meeting were approved by the committee. 
  1. The committee considered the proposed program revision of the Liberal Arts and Science (Mathematics and Science) After discussing the proposal, the committee voted and the proposal was approved. 
  1. The committee considered the proposed program revision of the Accounting – A.A.S. Degree Program. After discussing the proposal, the committee voted and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present. 
  1. The committee considered the proposed program revision of the Biology Associate in Science (A.S.) Degree Program. There were questions about the articulation agreement. The proposal will be sent back to the department for further consideration. 
  1. Mercedes Franco, Chair of the Department of Mathematics & Computer Science, presented proposals for the department. 
  1. The committee considered the proposed course revision for MA-119: “College Algebra.” After discussing the proposal, the committee voted and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present. 
  1. The committee considered the proposed course revision for MA-321: “Mathematics in Contemporary Society.” After discussing the proposal, the committee voted and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present. 
  1. The committee considered the proposed new course CS-105: “Topics in Computer Science.” After discussing the proposal, the committee voted and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present. 
  1. The committee considered the proposed course revision for HE-110: “Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.” After discussing the proposal, the committee voted and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present. 

The meeting was adjourned at 4:00 PM.
