Bylaws Charges

Section 27. The Committee on Vendor Services

The Committee on Vendor Services shall consist of six (6) members of the instructional staff and two (2) students.

The Committee on Vendor Services shall:

  1. Receive and evaluate the report of the Auxiliary Enterprise Board on vendor services and recommend to the Academic Senate on matters pertaining to the services and facilities of all vendors to the College, including the Bookstore and Food Services, on an annual basis;
  2. Consider and evaluate suggestions and complaints regarding the service and facilities of all vendors to the College, including the Bookstore and Food Services, sending them on to the Auxiliary Enterprise Board;
  3. Review the College's assessment of the manner of selection of and the contractual arrangements with all vendors to the College, including the Bookstore and Food Services and make recommendations.

Steering Committee Suggested Charges/Committee Goals

  1. Revisit Bylaws charge about receiving and evaluating the report of the Auxiliary Enterprise Board on vendor services and recommending to the Academic Senate on matters pertaining to the services and facilities of all vendors to the College, including the Bookstore and Food Services, on an annual basis; how appropriate is this charge for the way the college has reopened? Does it need revising?
  2. Revisit Bylaws charge about reviewing the College's assessment of the manner of selection of and the contractual arrangements with all vendors to the College, including the Bookstore and Food Services and make recommendations: how appropriate is this charge for the way the college has reopened? Does it need revising?
  3. Facilitate Student participation – A Committee Representation Preference Form will be sent to already-elected student senators during the first week of the semester, and to the remaining roster of senators culled from Club officers by the end of September. Students will be given link to your committee's webpage, so make sure the webpage has chair/secretary contact information on it, including meeting times where possible.
