Liaisons in Attendance:

Business:

The meeting was called to order at 11:00 a.m.

  1. Meeting commenced at 11am in room A-102
  2. Minutes from meeting on 12/5/2018 were approved
  3. Dr. Clara Wajngurt, Chairperson of PSC Health and Safety, attended the meeting to address faculty concerns, including the following:
    • Lack of food accessibility during the summer (Oakland Dining Room and Starbucks close at 2pm) – what are the options for faculty who want a meal at 4pm?
    • One faculty member asked whether salad and acai bowls can be available year round and whether there can be a salad station in Oakland
    • We will need to communicate with Marcos Peralta about this issue and whether there is enough demand to allow for these requests to move forward; Dr. Wajngurt will speak to him and let us know what she finds out
  4. Committee drafted an email on how to add funds to faculty/staff ID cards since Oakland Dining Room only accepts cash payment (see email draft below). Email needs to be approved by relevant parties and can then be disseminated to QCC faculty
  5. Review of February Sales Report: committee members noted possible correlation between student purchases and exam periods (e.g. purchasing of energy drinks during midterms); chips and cookies remain popular student choices
  6. Next meeting will be determined by Doodle Poll.
  7. Meeting adjourned at 11:40am.

EMAIL DRAFT:
Dear Faculty and Staff,
The Committee on Vendor Services would like to make you aware of how to add funds for food/drink purchases to your QCC ID card, as Oakland Dining Room does not accept credit cards.
Faculty and staff can add funds to their ID cards online OR at TigerCard vending machines located on campus in the administration building, library, and student union??

Instructions for adding funds to your ID card online are available at the following link: http://www.qcc.cuny.edu/tigercard/index.html

Thank you,
Committee on Vendor Services
