The meeting was called to order at 3:09

Meeting Minutes for April 14, 2021

 

In Attendance:   Dr. Kimberly Riegel, Dean Tikola Russell,  Celia Sporer, Ray Volel, Gisela Rivera, Wilfredo Moran, Jennifer Klein, Dr. Carolyn King, William Blick, Dr. Wilma Fletcher-Anthony

 

Student Government Association:

Arnab Sharma, Shamiah Walker, Max Leonardo and Gianella Balda.

1.) Call meeting to Order: 3:08

2.) Approve Meeting Minutes from 3/10: Minutes Approved

4.) Planning for Student/Faculty Event: 

It was decided that this meeting be devoted mostly to planning the student/ faculty event

The minutes reflect this

 

 There will be six breakout rooms on Zoom. A generalized overview will be provided by Kim, and she will be in main room to provide technical support. Doctor Wilma Anthony-Fletcher to attend or representatives from counseling to handle any important and sensitive issues for students. Students can choose which room they want to attend.

The breakout topics will be more fun and enjoyable. They include:

  • Binge TV/ Netflix : Bill and Max
  • Outdoor Fun: Ray
  • Family holidays: Gianella and Celia
  • Tik-Tok or other online fun: Carolyn and Shamiah
  • Pets: Jennifer and Arnab
  • Hobbies:
  • Promotion: electronic flyer made and distributed; Kim reached out to Steering Committee and President Mangino; Committee members urged to disseminate information about the event to their respective departments and colleagues

5.) Report from SGA

Student elections will be underway; Voting begins on April 14 and goes until 21.  Members are encouraged to promote to faculty and students.
