Admissions Requirements

  • Application Required: No application required if enrolled in this program
  • Degree Requirement: Completed Associate of Science degree (AS) in Science for Forensics at QCC
  • Minimum CUM GPA: 2.0
  • Audition/Portfolio: Not applicable

Notes:

  • Students are required to have a GPA of 2.5 or better in the foundation mathematics and science courses to graduate from the program at Queensborough Community College.
  • In order to enter John Jay as a junior, students will need to take a four-credit John Jay course, Chemistry 220: Quantitative Analysis.  This course is a prerequisite for junior year laboratories at John Jay and will be offered each summer at John Jay.
  • Students are encouraged to take Law 202: Law and Evidence, either on permit while at Queensborough or upon entry to John Jay.

 

Additional Notes: All students must successfully complete two (2) writing-intensive classes (designated "WI") at Queensborough Community College to fulfill degree requirements.
