Her area of Specialization is Brechtian and missionary theater in Brazil, and Latin American Cultures. An ex-officer of the AATG Metro-NY Chapter (Treasurer 2000-2005, VP 2006-2020), she was a member and chair of the AATG CC Task Force (2010-2020), a member of the QCC Study Abroad Advisory Committee, and QCC eLearning Team for 10 years. She was chair of the QCC Curriculum Committee(2003-2005; 2015-2018). She is a FL representative at the CUNY Council of World Language Study (1998-2020). She has published articles in refereed journals and two books: Brecht's Reception in Brazil, 1995, and her translation of Imperialismo Sedutor (The Seduction of Brazil) by Tota, Texas UP, 2009. Her translation of The American "Amigo" (O Amigo Americano) by Tota is in print by Underline Publisher 2020.
