Business:

The meeting was called to order at 12:00 p.m.

  • Approval of minutes from last meeting.
  • The committee passed the latest CEWD bylaw changes (latest draft from CEWD dated 3/27/2024). Sujun will report to the committee chair and send it to the senate for a vote.
  • The EQLD committee is requesting to change its name from Committee on Environment, Quality of Life, and Disability Issues to Committee on Environment, Quality of Life, and Accessibility We approved this change. However, we are suggesting changing the word “Issues” to services or a word with a more positive emphasis.
  • Update on creating a standardized Bylaws template for the other committees to use when proposing changes. We currently have a template. Further suggested changes to this include requesting the filled out form to highlight changes from the original text such as using the strikethrough, highlight in red, and compare feature in MS Word. In addition, we could provide an example of the template filled out as we prefer in order to model how changes should be presented. Sujun will ask the EQLD committee if we can use their form as an example with a few edits on our part to clarify some components.
  • Meeting adjourned 12:30 PM

Respectfully submitted,

Rondi Davies
Committee on Bylaws, Secretary
