The Academic Senate Committee on Bylaws met on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, 1:00 PM, via Webex virtual platform


Committee Members in Attendance:

Franca Ferrari-Bridgers, Daniel Garbin, Urszula Golebiewska (Secretary), Raymond Lam, Scott Litroff, Sebastian Murolo (Chair), Md. Shahadat Hossain, Weier Ye


Liaisons in Attendance:

Liza Larios (President's Designee), 

William Ryan (Steering Committee's Designee)


Business:

The meeting was called to order at 1:06 PM

  1. The attendance was taken, the quorum was present.  
  2. The Minutes of the April 8th 2020 meeting were approved.
  3. The Committee thanked the departing members for their contributions: Sebastian Murolo, Md. Shahadat Hossain and William Ryan
  4. The Committee welcomed new members: Raymond Lam and Scott Litroff
  1. Elections:

        Sebastian Murolo nominated Urszula Golebiewska for the chair.

        Vote was via poll. Urszula Golebiewska was elected the chair of the Committee

        There were two nominations for the secretary: Franca Ferrari and Scott Litroff.

        Vote was via poll. Franca Ferrari was elected the secretary.

  1. There was no old business.
  2. There was no new business.
  3. In the next year the Committee should look into the Committee Guidebook.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:22 PM
