The Academic Senate Committee on Bylaws met on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, 1:15 pm, M209

Business:

The meeting was called to order at 1:20 pm

Minutes:

  1. Welcome the student members: Jacquelyn Apostolo and Jason Bhimani.
  2. Members indicated their presence by signing a signup sheet. 
  3. Consideration of the Minutes. Sebastian Murolo distributed printed copies of the September 25th 2019 meeting. A motion was made to accept the Minutes, seconded, and approved unanimously. 
  4. Progress reports from the members: Md. Shahadat Hossain commented on his review of the changes to the bylaws approved during the past academic year. A discussion followed and a question emerged who is responsible for updating the bylaws with the approved changes; Sebastian Murolo will inquire with the chair of the Steering Committee to clarify.
  5. There was an issue with posting the minutes of the previous meeting. Urszula Golebiewska will follow up with David Moretti. 
  6.  Next meeting November 20, 2019. 

The meeting was adjourned at 1:55 p.m.
