The Academic Senate Committee on Bylaws met on Wednesday, March 13th, 2019, 1 pm, Humanities 458


Committee Members in Attendance:

Urszula Golobiewska, Sebastian Murolo (Chair), Shahadat Hossain, William J. Ryan (secretary), Peter Bales (rep from food insecurity committee)


Liaisons in Attendance:

Liza Larios (President’s Designee), Susan Jacobowitz (Steering Committee Designee), Jeanette Urciuoli (steering committee representative)


Business:

The meeting was called to order at 1 pm

The minutes from the previous meeting were approved.

The committee discussed a change in the bylaws regarding the administration of the college food pantry. The committee reviewed the changes and the rationale for said changes. The committee considered the helpful clarifications from Peter Bales, representative of the Food Insecurity Committee. Following discussion, and some small amendments to the proposed changes, the chair then suggested that we put into new business a vote on the bylaws. The motion was seconded.

The committee then voted on the proposed changes. The changes passed with a unanimous vote.

No new business was discussed.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:45 p.m.
