MEMORANDUM

 

TO: Academic Senate Steering Committee

 

FROM: Committee on Bylaws, Scott Litroff, Chairperson

 

SUBJECT: Bylaws Amendment Proposals for Academic Senate Consideration DATE: February 1, 2022

PROPOSAL 1:

 

WHEREAS, Charge #2 of the Academic Senate Committee on Awards and Scholarships currently reads as follows:

 

Select and recommend to the Academic Senate recipients for College awards and scholarships for all currently enrolled students and mid-year graduates

 

WHEREAS, the proposed amendment to the aforementioned charge reads as follows:

 

Select and recommend to the Academic Senate recipients for College-wide awards and scholarships for all currently enrolled students and mid-year graduates

 

BE IT RESOLVED THAT: the Committee on Bylaws approved this amendment on 12 December, 2021 and at this time requests the Academic Senate’s consideration for formal adoption of the amendment.

 

PROPOSAL 2:

 

WHEREAS, Charge #3 of the Academic Senate Committee on Awards and Scholarships currently reads as follows:

 

Assist departments and coordinate administration of awards and scholarships WHEREAS, the proposed amendment to the aforementioned charge reads as follows:

Assist the Office of Financial Services Scholarships in awarding College-wide

scholarships

 

BE IT RESOLVED THAT: the Committee on Bylaws approved this amendment on 12 December, 2021 and at this time requests the Academic Senate’s consideration for formal adoption of the amendment.
