The meeting was called to order at 2:00 pm

  • Meeting started at 2:12 pm via zoom.
  • Minutes from the previous meeting from October were approved and will be posted to the Publications Website
  • The committee reviewed Departmental websites.
  • Jim suggested that we should have uniformity in what is posted on Departmental websites, and it would be beneficial to have a dedicated member in each department who updates Departmental websites.
  • Stephen suggested that faculty should be trained on updating Departmental websites.
  • Patrick suggested that an email be sent out to all departments listing minimum requirements that should be on the departmental website. For example: every Department should have current faculty members, office hours for faculty, coordinators for departmental website, etc. listed on the website. The committee will come up with other suggestions for the bare requirements on the website.
  • There will be a new charge for the Publications committee. Charge: Publications Committee is responsible for navigating through webpages and suggesting improvements; increase number of reminders to committee officers to update their webpages.
  • The committee voted in favor of adding the following to the committee’s bylaws:

  • Serve as an editorial board for the Queensborough Community College Newsletter, Community Calendar, the Faculty Handbook and other handbooks, and other publications of this nature.
  • Make suggestions and remind responsible stakeholders to review and update as necessary individual department websites.
