The Academic Senate Committee on Publications met on Friday, February 16, 2024, 2:10 PM-1:30 PM, via Zoom


Committee Members in Attendance:

Patrick Buyers(chair), Roumen Vragov (Co-Secretary), Melida Sanchez, Jim Geasor,


Liaisons in Attendance:

Emily Diana

Wenli Guo

Sushma Teegala is on maternity leave

 


Business:

The meeting was called to order at 2:10 pm

Committee first approved the minutes from the previous meeting

Jim asked about the availability of Senate meeting recordings and Patrick would find out more information.

Patrick shared an e-mail about our committee’s request for a change in the by-laws of the senate to allow us to recommend directly changes to department websites.

We then discussed possible requirements for content on Department’s websites

The following were mentioned:

  1. Tenure & promotion guidelines
  2. Office hours
  3. Faculty e-mails, brief bio.

All committee members were tasked with making more suggestions in this area.

Meeting was adjourned at 3 pm.

Next meeting: Friday, March 15, 2024 at 2:10 pm
