The Academic Senate Committee on Publications met on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, 2:00 PM-3:00 PM, via Zoom

Christina Manzo (co-chair), Sushma Teegala, Patrick Byers (secretary), Mathieu Sassolas, Wenli Guo, Roumen Vrago

Business:

The meeting was called to order at 2:03 pm

Christina Manzo called the meeting to order at 2:03pm.

The committee approved the minutes from the previous meeting, and adopted the minutes from the previous meeting.

New committee members Mathieu Sassolas and Roumen Vragov were welcomed.

 

Review of Old Business:

Christina Manzo reviewed the ongoing work of the committee to orient the new members. This included reviewing tenure and promotion guidelines and reviewing the faculty handbook.

 

Election:

The committee nominated members to serve as Secretary and Chair for the 2022-2023 school year. Committee members nominated Wenli Guo and Sushma Teegala for Secretary. Wenli Guo declined the nomination, and Sushma was elected. For chair, the committee nominated Patrick Byers, who was elected.

 

Upcoming Meeting:

The next meeting will be scheduled for September at a time to be decided.

 

After thanking Christina Manzo and Kerri-Ann Smith for their succesful leadership of the committee, a motion was made to adjourn the meeting which passed by unanimous consent at 2:26pm.
