The Academic Senate Committee on Student Activities met on March 26, 2024 at 9:00AM (Virtual)


Committee Members in Attendance:

In Attendance: Wilfredo Moran, Ilse Schrynemakers, Kwang Hyun Kim, Alison Mello, Sybil White, Gisela Rivera, Jennifer Klein, Tikola Russell  Excused: Jacqueline Mulone


Business:

The meeting was called to order at 9:04 AM

1.) Called Meeting to Order: 9:04 AM (Virtual Meeting)

2.) Approval of Meeting Minutes from Feb 27, 2024

 

3.) Plans for Spring 2024 Volunteer Fair

  • Chairperson Schrynemakers shared that only two organizations have confirmed. Members discussed reaching out again to organizations and the possibility of moving the date of the fair to coincide with Spring Celebration (4/17/24 Club Hours). Final decisions will be on hold until deadline for registration (3/27/24) has passed. Chairpersons will reach out again by email with any revisions to plans.

4.) Updates to Student Survey

  • Chairperson Moran shared that Institutional Research and Assessment reviewed the survey questions generated by the committee and will distribute/deploy the survey questions to students in the first week of May. Data will be collected and processed by Institutional Research and sent to the committee for review.
5.) New Business
  • Chairpersons noted that elections for officers will be held the last meeting of the semester.
