The Academic Senate Committee on Student Activities met on October 27, 2023 at 10:00AM (Virtual)


Committee Members in Attendance:

Business:

The meeting was called to order at 10:06 AM

1.) Called Meeting to Order: 10:06 AM (Virtual Meeting)

2.) Vote to Approve Meeting Minutes from May 09, 2023 and September 22, 2023

3.) Student Survey 

  • Members discussed ongoing plans to create and deploy a survey to students focused on event/campus communications.
  • Members worked together to revise questions from 2019 survey to better reflect new methods of communications on campus (email newsletter, QCC Connect App, etc). A draft form was created. Chairperson Schrynemakers offered to reach out to Ian Beckford for feedback prior to deployment.

4.) Plans for end Fall 2023 - Spring 2024 

  • Members discussed pros/cons of Fall 2023 vs. early Spring 2024 deployment of survey.
  • Members discussed Spring 2024 Volunteer Fair.

5.)Old Business

  • Chairperson Moran will reach out to student government officers to extend meeting invitations.
