Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)

On July 28, 2020, slightly over a month after the U.S. Supreme Court issued its decision holding that the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program should be restored to the original 2012 program, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a memorandum limiting the DACA program. On August 21, 2020 the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) provided written guidance on how it will implement the July 28, 2020 DACA policy.
While legal challenges to the July 28, 2020 DHS policy have been filed, the memo remains in effect.
