Queensborough welcomes new and visiting students

Affordable online class offerings available for any student looking to earn college credit this summer

Queensborough Community College will deliver courses exclusively online during its two Summer 2020 sessions, increasing access to learning, especially for visiting students whose studies have been disrupted or canceled by COVID-19.

“Students from almost any institutions can continue their studies at Queensborough this summer," explained College President, Dr. Timothy G. Lynch.

“The quality and affordability of our degree programs are recognized nationally and the caliber of our faculty is unmatched.”

Queensborough also provides summer students with an extensive array of free online support services including tutoring, career services, and more. Part of the City University of New York (CUNY) and ranked among the best community colleges nationally, Queensborough courses start at only $265 per credit.

“Summer Session at Queensborough remains a top choice for students enrolled at other colleges." Dr. Lynch said.

“Students choose Queensborough for our world-class academics and as a way to graduate sooner, boost their GPAs, and save money.”

The College is continuing its successful broad scale distance learning courses, introduced to its 15,000 students in March in response to the virus outbreak.

“We may be apart physically, but we are able to maintain clear course structures and objectives that make online teaching and learning very effective, and successful,” added Dr. Lynch.

“Now, more than ever, families are depending on high-quality, transformative educational opportunities that are available ‘at a distance’ and that do not break the bank. That is why New Yorkers are turning to CUNY.”

Summer classes start on May 26. Applications are available at https://www.qcc.cuny.edu/summer/index.html#apply. Call Admissions at (718) 281-5000 for more information and to see what additional services may be available to you.
