Course Description in college catalog:
A comprehensive approach to preparation for athletic or recreational competition. This course will focus on improvement of fitness components and skills as they pertain to sports activity. This instructional activity course will also address pertinent topics such as: nutrition, body composition, aerobic endurance, muscular power, flexibility and injury prevention.

Students will be able to define and describe different forms of exercising tactics verbally or written
Students will be able to explain and identify the use of different muscles and how different exercises target different muscles as well as the difference between aerobic and anaerobic exercises
Students will be able to demonstrate the proper form for basic exercise and sports training movements
Students will be able to work in groups, practicing different skills and helping one another to understand and work on new training methods
Students will be able to discuss how to develop workout routines that will fit their personal life style
