Dear Colleague:

I am delighted to welcome you to Queensborough.  As a leading institution in community college education, we are devoted to the continued academic excellence of our nearly 16,000 students.

At Queensborough we place the highest priority on a student-centered learning environment, a strong and engaged faculty, and community partnerships.

We are dedicated to providing a student-centered learning environment to stimulate engagement and learning so that students will continue to be successful once they move on to the next stage of their academic or professional careers.

We are equally dedicated to building an intellectual network of scholars by supporting faculty in all phases of research, curriculum development and activities designed by and for faculty.

At the college we also reach out to the broader community by developing instruction-related activities such as service-learning, undergraduate research, civic engagement and service to all five boroughs of the City of New York.

At Queensborough, we believe that a college education goes beyond the classroom.  I encourage you to visit our prized cultural beacons: the Kupferberg Holocaust Center (KHC), the QCC Art Gallery, and QPAC – Queensborough’s Performing Arts Center, which enrich the academic experience for our college community and bring enjoyment to over 100,000 visitors annually.
